The Technology

What is a package STP?

A package Sewage Treatment Plant treats domestic wastewater — kitchen, bathroom and toilet flows — through screening, biological treatment and clarification, producing water fit for gardening, flushing and other non-potable reuse.

CWG builds them as underground, mobile-containerised or compact skid units in MS-epoxy, stainless steel or FRP, based on your space and flow. Each is engineered to run on minimum power, land and consumables.

Because they are decentralised, responsibility, cost and reuse all stay local — a practical fit for developments where new infrastructure has to work within the existing environment.

The Process

How a sewage treatment plant works

Sewage moves through preliminary, biological and clarification stages to become clear, dischargeable or reusable water.

Screening & Equalisation

Incoming sewage passes through screening and an equalisation tank to remove solids and balance flow and load.

Biological Treatment

Aerobic bacteria — on suspended media (MBBR/TBR) or fluidised media — break down organic pollutants in an aerated reactor.

Clarification

Treated water separates from biomass in a settling stage, leaving clear supernatant.

Tertiary & Disinfection

Filtration and disinfection polish the water for safe reuse in gardening, flushing and utilities.
